Artificial Turf Turns a Rocky Patio Corner Into a Pet-Friendly Spot

Not every yard has a sprawling lawn to work with. Sometimes it's a tight corner next to a patio - rocky, uneven, and not doing much for anyone. That's exactly what we were working with here. The homeowners had this small strip of space tucked alongside their flagstone patio that just wasn't pulling its weight.

We took the time to get clean lines against the flagstone and along the fence line, with a dark rock border to finish it off neatly on the sides.

The homeowners have small dogs, which is a big part of why this install made sense. Real grass in a compact, shaded spot like this tends to get muddy and patchy fast - especially with pets using it daily. Artificial turf holds up, stays clean, and gives the dogs a soft surface to actually use. No mud tracked inside, no dead patches to deal with.
