Here's what we were working with - a bare, patchy dirt yard with a winding concrete path cutting through it. No grass. No real usable space. Just dry Colorado soil and weeds trying their best. It's a setup we see pretty often, and honestly, it's one of our favorite types of yards to work with because the difference when we're done is dramatic.

We came in and installed artificial turf throughout the entire backyard area, working around the existing curved pathway and fitting the turf cleanly up against the stone border edging. The shape of this yard isn't a simple rectangle - it curves and flows, which means the installation takes real attention to detail. Getting clean seams and tight edges along those curves is what separates a quality install from one that looks sloppy after a few months.

What makes artificial turf such a smart move for a yard like this is everything it removes from your to-do list. No watering schedule. No mowing. No muddy patches after rain. No dead spots showing up in dry months. The yard looks exactly the same in January as it does right now - and you never have to do a thing to keep it that way.

The finished result is a space that actually gets used. The turf is soft underfoot, it drains well, and it holds up whether you've got kids, dogs, or just want somewhere to sit outside without tracking mud into the house. Paired with the gravel surrounds and mulch planting beds, the whole yard has a clean, intentional look that feels put-together without being high maintenance.
